Fire safety tips

It’s that time of year again when we start turning on the heat and using heat sources like space heaters, furnaces, pellet stoves, fire pits and many more. Be sure to check if your smoke alarms are working properly. Always check to make sure there are fresh batteries in the smoke alarm. Without a properly functioning fire alarm in your house, it may be too late before you notice the fire. Here are a few tips on how to prevent a fire and keep you, your family and pets safe.

5 Tips to Prevent Fires from Happening in Your Home:

  1. Never leave your kitchen unattended while cooking.

  2. Inspect your heating sources.

  3. Store any flammable materials correctly.

  4. Be cautious of open flames.

  5. Keep a fire extinguisher handy.
