The 26th annual induction of NHS members was held on Wednesday, May 11th. Several new members were inducted during the ceremony and new NHS officers were installed.
To be considered for membership, a student must have a 3.5 or higher GPA. Students of sophomore level and above are invited to complete an application to enter the NHS. The applications asks one to provide examples of community service and leadership. Character is also taken into consideration when applications are evaluated by the faculty council.
The new NHS officers (right to left) are Caitlyn Kolter, President, Karly Kirkman, Vice-President, Hannah Wincek, Secretary, and Max Sauerwein, Treasurer.
Outgoing seniors were recognized and presented with honor chords to include as part of their graduation attire on Saturday, May 21st.
NHS's major community service component are the American Red Cross Blood Drives conducted during various times throughout the school year. The NHS advisor is Ms. Nicole Crosby.
