Parents of Sophmores! Following is an e-mail that was recently sent to your student. Students need to let Mrs. Crosby or Ms. Chandler know by 2/17/23 if they wish to attend.
Hello Sophomores!
We are looking for a student who would like to attend the Wisconsin Leadership Seminars (WILS) at Carroll University in Waukesha, WI. from June 9th - June 11th.
At this leadership seminar you will participate in team-building activities, listen to motivational speakers, participate in volunteer service, workshops, self-reflection, volunteer service projects, small group discussions, and more!
This is a great opportunity for you to meet other students, build your resume, and network with alumni that could be beneficial in your future.
This leadership seminar is fully sponsored and will be at no cost to you. Lake Holcombe has had students in the past that have attended and said nothing but great things!!
If you want more information regarding this, please contact Mrs. Crosby or myself.
Thank you!!
Miss Chandler

We have one more couple to highlight in honor of Valentine's Day! Morgan & Jeff Milas. Morgan is our business education teacher and Jeff is our science teacher. Morgan & Jeff first met playing flag football in 1st grade! Although they grew up in the same area, they went to neighboring schools and didn't get to really know each other until Jeff began working at Morgan's family farm after high school. They were married on August 11, 2018. The same schedule and carpooling to work are a couple of things they like about working together. Thank you for being part of our school family!
We hope you enjoyed meeting and getting to know a little about our married couples during this Valentine's season!

Student-Athletes of the Week: Logan Jaedike and Mackenzie Bera
Logan has been nominated for student-athlete of the week for archery. Logan has shown tremendous dedication and always striving to do better. He works hard at all of the practices and always looks to improve. Logan also gets the job done in the classroom. Keep up the good work!
Mackenzie brings experience to the Lake Holcombe Archery team and is not afraid to help out fellow archers. Teamwork is something she values. Mackenzie is the first one at practice and puts in the time. Currently, she is the top shooter this season. Mackenzie also does a great job in the classroom. Keep it up!

It's time for our final highlighted couple in honor of Valentine's Day!
Amy & Andy Lorenzen. Amy is our physical education teacher and Andy is our technical education teacher. Andy also coaches middle school football and softball.
The resorts around Cty Hwy D must be a popular area to meet people as Amy and Andy met at Flater's Resort. They were married on August 7, 2015.
When asked what they like about working together, they said that it's easy to remember each other's schedule. Amy also gets alot of stories that start with "Do you want to know what your husband did or said today".
We love having you two work for the district! Thanks for all you do!

Just a reminder of the availability of weekend Kidpacks sponsored by the Lake Holcombe Food Pantry. If you wish for your child/ren to participate, complete the form and return to the school office or call the school office at 715-595-4241.

Today we celebrate Danielle and Chris Clark for our February couple highlight!
Danielle Clark is our speech/language clinician and Chris Clark is our middle school math & history teacher. In addition to teaching, Chris coaches middle school football and high school boys' basketball.
Danielle and Chris met in college the first time during their freshman year. It took another year for them to meet the second time! Fortunately for Chris, Danielle remembered him! They ended up getting married on July 24, 2020.
When asked what they like best about working together, their responses were "lunch dates & carpooling".
We love having you both with the school district! Thanks for all you do!

The Lake Holcombe Administration and Staff would like to congratulate the students who received academic recognition this past quarter.
The following students are listed on the Honor Roll and High Honor Roll for the 2nd quarter of 2022-2023: https://5il.co/1oc4j

You're Invited!!

Joining high school students from across Wisconsin and the boarding states, Lake Holcombe students MacKenzie Bera, Savanna Bleske and Brianna Bleske are attending Student Day at the 2023 Wisconsin EMS Association Conference.
They will listen to guest speakers and gain hands-on experience at different stations.

It's finally February! In honor of Valentine's Day, we will be highlighting couples who work in the Lake Holcombe School District.
Our first couple to highlight is Nicole Crosby and Todd Senoraske. Nicole is out district guidance counselor and Todd is our special education teacher and activities director.
Nicole and Todd met at Fireside (off of Highway D) through a mutual friend who had them come out for a fish fry. The couple got married on July 17, 2017.
When asked what they like about working together, Todd's response was "TBD"! Nicole doesn't know what to think about that, LOL, but she is looking at the convenience of what working together offers given their growing family and need for a larger vehicle (think large enough for 2 adults and 4 car seats, plus a full size furbaby)! They are expecting twins!
We love having you work for the school district. Thanks for everything you do!

Student-Athletes of the Week: Karly Kirkman and Trent Nitek
Karly is a consistent source of leadership and support to her team.
Along with being a top scorer, her spirit and dedication to the team are a great help both on and off the court.
Trent had a great week on the defensive side of the basketball. He had 9 rebounds in our win against Winter on Tuesday and pulled down 13 rebounds against Flambeau on Friday. It's not always about scoring; and Trent has been an asset to this team on the defensive side of the game.
